Applying Psychological Science, Benefiting Society

Authors

The Psychology Benefits Society blog has several contributors including APA Public Interest staff members and external experts (mainly psychologists). However, the primary administration of the blog is handled by Efua Andoh (eandoh@apa.org), Public Interest Communications staff.

Overall Tone and Style:

  • Conversational and somewhat informal – breaking down complex concepts into plain English for a broad audience.
  • Posts may mix in anecdotes/testimonials with more academic/scientific content.
  • If research is cited, references that can be linked to or listed in the post should be included.
  • Posts may include an explicit call to action or contain questions for the audience in order to generate comments.
